Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Provide a full range of Human Resources (HR) support for a wide variety of activities including compensation, performance management, employee relations, benefits, onboarding, and employment compliance.  The Human Resources Generalist will support Sr. HR, Recruiting and Operations leadership in all HR practices, and provide information to employees about regulations, contract language, and policies. Perform a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the daily implementation of HR Policies and Procedures, make recommendations to management regarding new policies and changes to existing policies, meeting legal requirements and business objectives
  • Facilitate resolution of confidential and highly sensitive employee relations issues by working with senior level management and employees. Handle controversial issues with tact and judgment
  • Assist with annual performance management cycle
  • Oversee the maintenance of personnel records and process personnel actions to include internal promotions, personnel changes, transfers, or terminations.
  • Prepare, analyze and distribute complex statistical reports for use in implementation of procedures and policies
  • Prepare and assist with data collection, assessment and reporting for HR audits and compliance reviews
  • Collaborate with Recruiting and hiring managers to support the recruiting process. Provide and participate in decision making regarding skills and competencies for vacant positions, provide headcount, compensation and hiring data. Give guidance regarding benefits and labor law
  • Responsible for state law compliance on HR related items for programs
  • Gather, enter and process new hire data for CONUS and OCONUS employees
  • Support and explain benefits to employees
  • Assist with all HR, compensation and classification issues
  • Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct Human Resources experience at the administrative level or above
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business-related field or equivalent work experience
  • Must have the ability to interpret and implement corporate policies
  • Experience working across various US based locations and variations in state law compliance. International experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SCA regulations
  • Experience addressing employee relations issues and conducting investigations through to resolution
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills and working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications is essential
  • Strong level of influence and negotiation skills
  • Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations
  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work 1-3 years’ experience in HR or related field
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally, as needed

PREFERRED:

  • PHR or SHRM Certification
  • Basic knowledge of ADP Vantage

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work is typically based in a busy service center/maintenance environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are 40 hours a week, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
