Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for performing HR-related administrative duties and works closely within HR to support general HR operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure successful completion of onboarding of new hires and tracking completion of employee documents and tasks (I-9, Policy Acknowledgements, Welcome emails, etc.)
  • Process Onboarding Forms to ensure new hire access and accounts are created
  • Works closely with other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires; Act as a liaison between new hires and IT to schedule shipping/pick-up of equipment as well as Security to schedule badge appointments for new hires reporting to an office location
  • Send New Hire Checklists and Transfer Checklists for completion when necessary
  • Maintain and update electronic employee files regularly
  • Assist with processing first response unemployment claims
  • Generate and send employee correspondence
  • Assist in processing employee leave of absences in the HRIS system
  • Coordinate New Hire Orientation and administer on a biweekly basis
  • Create and run various reports, as requested, in the HRIS system
  • Assist with coordinating employee trainings, presentations, and events
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and records
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education or equivalent required
  • One year of experience with administrative or office support, preferably within Human Resources
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work extended hours if needed

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
