Position Overview

The Security Training Instructor (STI) serves as the focal point for multiple contract training compliance requirements and is responsible for overall training quality and standards conformance in accordance with the statement of work


  • Manage and deliver training material and maintain communication with supervisors concerning training issues that may reveal security-screening weaknesses or vulnerabilities
  • Meet any recurrent training, evaluation and recertification requirements established by TSA in order to remain qualified for the training and screening including passenger, baggage and dual-function training.
  • Perform TSO screening duties as necessary


  • Must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
    • Minimum of two (2) years adult-learning classroom instruction experience; or

    • Instructor certification from a recognized instructor-training program (e.g., ASTD, CTTI); or

    • Formal instructor training from a recognized source (e.g., U.S. military, Federal training program, college/university or trade school, or private corporation).

  • A US Citizen with social security card
  • Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet all medical and physical standards as outlined in the contract
  • Meet background screening and suitability requirements.
  • Fluently read and write English
