Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Financial Compliance Analyst will assist with the Company’s U.S. government regulatory and compliance matters. The near-term responsibilities of this this position will be to work with a cross-functional team, including external consultants, on administrative support tasks for an upcoming business system audit. This position is responsible for the interpretation and application of U.S. federal contracting regulations to/for the company.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with administrative support and other tasks associated with business system remediation plans and audit
  • Assist with Defense Contract Audit Agency (“DCAA”), Defense Contract Management Agency (“DCMA”) and other Government audits
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corrective action plans submitted to the Government
  • Work with business unit management to ensure consistency of disclosure statements
  • Support/assist with the implementation of strategic realignments or new structures as initiated by management
  • Support/assist with the preparation, negotiation and audit of forward pricing rates, incurred cost submissions and cost impact analyses
  • Perform periodic timekeeping floor checks and report to management
  • Perform compliance reviews on Government Proposals
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining a U.S. government security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration
  • 5-8 years of experience in the U.S. federal contracting environment preferably in DCAA compliance administration
  • Basic knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Cost Accounting Standards, and Truth In Negotiations Act
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must have high level interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and external parties; develops key relationships with counterparts across the Company; position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive materials and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Ability to recognize and solve business problems by applying appropriate use of logic to quickly isolate the trends or problems
  • Self-directed, well-organized, and highly motivated, with the decisiveness and flexibility necessary to operate successfully in a changing, rapid-growth and hands-on environment
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
