POSITION SUMMARY

 

This position is responsible for performing HR-related administrative duties and works closely within HR to support general HR operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure successful completion of onboarding of new hires in tracking completion of required employee documents and new hire tasks (I-9, Policy Acknowledgements, etc.)
  • Process Onboarding Forms to ensure new hire access and accounts are created
  • Works closely with other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires; Act as a liaison between new hires and IT to schedule shipping/pick-up of equipment as well as Security to schedule badge appointments for new hires reporting to an office location
  • Send New Hire Checklists and Transfer Checklists for completion when necessary
  • Maintain and update electronic employee files
  • Assist in processing employee changes in the system
  • Generate and send employee correspondence
  • Maintain and update electronic employee files
  • Assist in processing employee leave of absences in the HRIS system
  • Coordinate New Hire Orientation and administer on a biweekly basis
  • Monitor HR tickets and assist in resolving routine employee issues
  • Create and run various reports, as requested, in the HRIS system
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and records
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education or equivalent required
  • 2 years administrative or office work, preferably in Human Resources
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work extended hours when needed

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
