Senior Lead Engineer

SENIOR LEAD ENGINEER WITH OFFICE BUILDING EXPERIENCE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in office building greater than 1 million SF.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of hands on HVAC experience.
• Must possess a First Class Engineer District of Columbia license.
• Must have a Universal CFC certification.
• Must be familiar on operating of various computerized control and maintenance systems.
• Must have strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational skills, superior oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance staff, assign and monitor maintenance of all electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) electrical systems of the facility.
• Perform staff evaluations and set annual performance goals.
• Perform random quality control and safety checks.
• Supervise the staff’s performance of preventive maintenance and work requests.
• Recommend improvements for the preventive maintenance program on an on-going basis.
• Ensure that all scheduled maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all necessary parts and tools are on site for the preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Review and provide comments on building plans.
• Create daily schedule and monthly schedule for the crew.
• Responsible for keeping records of building tours, readings, all engineering logs and data sheets.
• Ensure compliance with all local regulatory laws.
• Develop and maintain effective equipment maintenance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
• Identify safety hazards and remediate such hazards.
• Perform or duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work during inclement weather.

Physical Requirements

• May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
