RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Leads and manages a Project Control Team
  • Monitors business performance by contract/project
  • Supervises the monthly closing process and preparation of the periodic financial reviews
  • Analyzes profit and loss statements and income statements for the programs and business units
  • Prepares and briefs Program, Business Unit and Executive Leadership on contract/project performance
  • Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management
  • Develops and maintains specifications for contract/project setup and reporting in Costpoint accounting system
  • Supervises Program Accountant(s) in completion of contract/project accounting tasks
  • Performs variance analysis and funding projections
  • Prepares, manages and directs the preparation of Estimates to Completion (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC), monitoring program performance, funding, revenue recognition and cost controls
  • Performs economic research and studies subjects: rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, financial and expense comparisons
  • Develops subordinate Project Control Analyst(s)
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Management or other related field
  • Seven years of experience as Financial/Business Analyst or related capacity required
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Costpoint Accounting Aystem and Cognos reporting package
  • Adequate MS Excel skills to perform detailed analysis and financial modeling
  • Must be energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to multi-task and work in a fast paced organization

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
