Directly monitor the operational status and analyze the performance of sensors supporting the DOD D&M Mission. Sensors may include Tethered Aerostat Radars (TARS), US Ground Based Radars (GBRs), PN GBRs, Tactical Data Link (TADIL), Costal maritime radar, ADS-B, AIS, etc. Intel and quality analysis shall be conducted utilizing tools such as Radar Data Interface System (RDIS), Radar Evaluation Squadron (RADES) System III/IV (RS3/4) software, CDRADES, Radar Analysis Program (RAP) software and miscellaneous other analysis tools.

  • Provide expertise regarding CD/CNT operations, resources, requirements and program metrics
  • Provide operational review of radar data from network
  • Provide target detection analysis on a real time basis
  • Analyze and optimize sensor performance in support of mission objectives
  • Provide linguistic support both written and oral to meet USG requirements for mission
  • Provide support as a staff action officer for ongoing USG activities
  • Liaise with NORTHCOM/AFNORTH, SOUTHCOM/AFSOUTH, CENTCOM/AFCENT ensuring full integration of USAF hemispheric CD/CNT capabilities
  • Participate in Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE) with various agencies or host nation groups
  • Conduct radar data quality monitoring and operations SMEEs
  • Employ RDQM tools (RS3/4, RAP, etc.) and remote radar display systems (NTRD)
  • Must be willing to travel (up to 25%)
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Secret Clearance required
  • Fluent in technical and conversational speaking, reading and writing in English and Spanish (DLPT Level 2), and the ability to translate between the two
  • Five (5) years of technical experience, with three (3) years of recent operational experience working in the field of CD/CNT surveillance, command and control and communications
  • Experience coordinating with CCMDs, US LEA Components, System Program Offices (SPOs), HQ ACC staffs and other offices to refine, staff and resolve operational capability requirements
  • Experience in radar data quality monitoring, data reductions and operational analysis of tracks of interest
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Previous military experience preferred
  • Strong computer literacy
