POSITION:

Full Time Training Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Training Manager responsibilities will include the development and execution of the Government approved,  Contractor Training Plan which will document the the company’s  approach to ensure all SPOs are trained, certified, and qualified prior to post assignment. 

  • Serve as the focal point for multiple contract training compliance requirements and be responsible for overall training quality and standards in accordance with each.
  • Monitor training, certification and/or re-certification compliance to ensure all assigned personnel are consistent with contract requirements, and appropriate federal and state requirements, whether performed by the prime or subcontractor.
  • Plan training objectives and schedule personnel while ensuring contract staffing and operational continuity.
  • Maintain training files and update curriculum.
  • Explain, demonstrate and ensure responsibility of equipment, maintain safety and organization of training environment.
  • Communicate and oversee compliance with company policy, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Fill in as a training instructor when/if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least a DoD Top Secret with SCI security clearance
  • Minimum of three (5) years of recent training experience, in civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service.
  • Possess appropriate certifications to perform First Aid, CPR, AED, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, Baton, OC Spray, and firearms instructions, as well as Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) and Maryland Armed Guard Certifications
  • Completion of an approved and accredited Principles of Instruction course and Firearms Training through (e.g. NRA, a Police Academy, State POST Academy, FLETC or military training course) preferred
  • Strong organizational and computer skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Some travel may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 100 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
