Assistant Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

 

To provide Field Static Security & Operational Mobile Reserve Security Services for Rumaila Operating Organization (BP ROO)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Liaise directly with the Client / Mobile Operations Manager in the Operations Centre daily

  • Liaise directly with the Client / Mobile Operations Manager in the Operations Centre daily
  • Report to the Mobile Security Operations Manager  
  • Deputize and assume responsibility of the Mobiles Operations role in the absence of the Mobile Operations Manager  
  • Primarily responsible for understanding all operational parameters in which the team can fully operate out on the ground  
  • Fully conversant with the CONOP of the task and the methodology employed by Olive Group in executing their operational duties  
  • Report all security related issues to the Client/ Mobile Security Operations Manager 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Minimum of five years’ service in a regular army, reaching a minimum rank of senior noncommissioned office and with at least 2 years in that position
  • Previous Project Management experience (preferably within the O & G sector)  
  • Minimum five years in the private security sector, or other commercial sector (such as health & safety, or oil & gas) with similar characteristics and challenges
  • Experience of conducting tactical and operational risk assessments  
  • Satisfactory completion of criminal record checks within the recent 6 months   
  • Previous operational experience relevant to the region    
  • Previous operational experience in a high threat environment   
  • Previous operational experience in the client’s sector (e.g., Oil & Gas). 
  • Hold an SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. The post is covered 24 hours per day by two individuals each carrying out a 12-hour shift.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 35 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. 

Training Manager

POSITION SUMMARY 

 

The Project Security Training Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the project training including compliance, quality assurance, implementation of best practice and the production all training, assessment and validation policies. The Project TM reports directly to the Project Security manager.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Proven track record of Leadership and personnel management
  • A good working understanding of the Systems Approach to Training (SAT)
  • Ability to draft detailed and accurate reports, both verbal and written
  • Ability to articulate facts in a timely and accurate manner both orally and in writing
  • Proven command, control and operational experience in a challenging or high risk environment
  • Demonstrable balance with a calm demeanour in response to accident and hostile incident
  • Ability to liaise and interact with Host Nation Security and Law Enforcement agencies
  • Demonstrable initiative and maintenance of accuracy in high pressure situations
  • Ability to identify and react rapidly to significant security issues encountered
  • Understanding of the cultural and diversity issues within a team and promotion of harmony
  • Competency in Information Technology and ability to operate MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Formal training in the communication systems in operation within the project
  • Possessing an experienced based knowledge of training procedures in order to maintain the operational effectiveness and compliance of his team
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ service in a regular army, reaching a minimum rank of senior non-commissioned officer and with at least 2 years in that position
  • Minimum 1 year in the private security sector (Desirable), or other commercial sector (such as health & safety, or oil & gas) with similar characteristics and challenges; or
  • Satisfactory completion of a recognised leadership course
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal record checks within the recent 12 months
  • Previous operational experience relevant to the region
  • Previous operational experience in a high threat environment
  • Close Protection Course Level 3 or country equivalent
  • Level 4 medical training
  • Formal teaching qualification PTLLS or equivalent
  • Formal assessing qualification D32-33 or similar
  • Previous operational experience in the client’s sector (e.g. Oil & Gas) is preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS 

 

Work is typically based in an austere environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are seven days a week, approximately 12 hours a day, however some extended and/or weekend hours may be required.
