Unarmed Security Officer

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

We are currently seeking Unarmed Security Guards to support the 24/7 operations of multiple customer facilities located in the Aurora, Colorado area.  Various full-time and part-time shifts are available for enthusiastic individuals who currently possess an active TS/SCI with Full Scope polygraph security clearance and are looking to become part of an expanding team within a large organization that can offer career growth potential.  

 

PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION 

 

$45.00/hr.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Security patrols, access control, security related personnel escort duties, traffic, report writing, parking control, law and order duties, as well as security and fire safety surveillance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must have the required TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance that is current and can be verified.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Minimum of 18 years of age;
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Impeccable customer service skills
  • Possess good writing skills and ability to make decisions quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task with little assistance.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and able to interpret documents to ensure all rules and procedures are being applied
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain telephone rapport with customers at all levels.
  • Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to apply reasoning skills and document them oral, written, and/or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve problems until completion.
  • Ability to work in a MS Windows based operating environment, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Successfully pass criminal, credit, and driving record checks.
  • Must be able to pass all training and obtain required certifications to include CPR, First Aid/AED.
  • Ability to assist customers on a wide range of topics to include office policies, office procedures and other items as required.

Dispatcher/Alarm Monitor

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Monitor Force Protection Services and contract guard radio traffic, receive emergency and non-emergency phone calls, and monitor security alarm systems in Federal Buildings for all US states and territories. Coordinate the appropriate response, to include sending and receiving audible and distinguishing voice communications via radio and telephone systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor Force Protection Services and radio traffic while coordinating the appropriate responses to emergency and non-emergency situations performing duties such as:
    • Communicating audio messages via radio and telephone
    • Coordinating law enforcement and public safety personnel activities
    • Transferring public safety information
    • Answering questions and updating client records
  • Think and act quickly, calmly, and accurately in emergency situations and under stressful circumstances.
  • Log all calls in database including required details of each call
  • Keep additional detailed logs to maintain accurate records of alarm use, ensure officer safety, and allow for precise and efficient communications among coworkers
  • Operate multi-channel radio and telephone dispatch equipment
  • Access Federal, State, and local databases and maintain compliance regulations and procedures
  • Assist with quality review of events created by fellow dispatchers
  • Monitor alarms received and keep records based on unique accounts
  • Proficiently perform administrative tasks on desktop computer and notify management of any technological issues
  • Monitor in-house closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras
  • Perform dispatching duties for other locations in the event of a failure
  • Assist in the training of dispatcher trainees
  • Routinely test alarms, communication systems, and other devices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Candidates will need to undergo a background check
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work under stress and to respond to emergency communications.
  • Excellent communication and phone skills.
  • Ability to handle filing and other administrative duties.
  • Existing dispatch or use of a multi-system phone system is preferred, but on-the-job training is provided in order to obtain knowledge of how a 24-hour emergency communication center operates; to gain familiarity with public safety functions and concerns; to learn of the public safety communications environment, demands, requirements and related laws, to include regulations and systems. 
  • Computer Skills — Efficient knowledge/use of MS Office on a Windows OS, and ability to type approximately 30 WPM without error.
  • Successful completion of Criticall testing is required prior to hire (provided by company)

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves extended periods of sitting while engaged with a computer terminal or phone.

Armed Protective Security Officer

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Staff Security posts and provide security for the personnel and property of, and visitors to, assigned US Government Property.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Regular, in-person attendance is required
  • Protect personnel and property in a professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Armed experience only
  • Must possess a valid Security Guard Card for the City of Denver, CO prior to interview
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • A US citizen with a social security card
  • 3 years of Armed security experience within the past five years; [OR]
    • An associate degree in a related field and at least one year of security experience; [OR]
    • 3 years of military or National Guard (active duty or reserve) experience; [OR]
    • Successful completion of a state certified Police Officer’s Standard Training (POST) course; [OR]
    • Any reasonable combination of the above within last 5 years and reasonable combination of experience, school, military, or training (equivalent to 3 years)
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted automobile driver’s license
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English
  • Must be capable of passing a background check, medical and psychological evaluation, Form 306, and weapons qualification
  • Must be willing to attend our (paid) 7-week training course

POSITION: Experienced Background Investigator – DCSA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct federal background investigations and prepare reports of investigations in compliance with Federal Investigative Standards, all laws, and other required federal agency regulations. Work cases throughout the geographic area of responsibility and travel to various places of employment, residence, and education institutions.

$22.00 – $41.32/Hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizenship;
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 1 year within the last five (5) years of investigations experience on the OPM/NBIB/DCSA contract or similar contract utilizing Federal Investigative Standards (FIS);
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record;
  • Willing to travel on temporary duty assignments as needed (by car or plane);
  • Successfully pass background checks and all required training;
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists;
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram, or schedule form;
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations;
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence;

Armed Security Officer

POSITION SUMMARY 

 

In accordance with DHS protocols, the armed guard force is concerned with all matters relating to the security of the command, which include providing security and safety for personnel, property, facilities, and assets, entry control point services to ensure unauthorized personnel, property, equipment, vessels or vehicles are deterred and denied facility ingress and egress as well as safeguarding the facility against sabotage or any other incident that might jeopardize the normal operation of the command, such as theft, robbery, riot, lawlessness, demonstrations, etc.

Training Rate $18.00 

Probationary Rate $25.50 (90 Days)

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide security protection and access control.
  • Provide security protection for all government property, classified material and personnel within assigned areas of responsibility to preclude unauthorized access, theft, or intentional destruction.
  • Report/respond to unusual or emergency situations.
  • Be alert for potential security, property or safety concerns and initiate the appropriate actions.
  • Control ingress/egress into and/or out of posted/controlled/security areas.
  • Prevent/report all violations of security and safety rules and regulations.
  • Respond to protective alarm signals or other unusual/suspicious activities.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all security and guard orders, written and oral, pertaining to the assigned duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally eligible to work in the United States or Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component the United States Armed Forces. 
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must have a Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individuals name and social security number.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of security (armed), or one (1) year of law enforcement experience in a full-duty status with a full-service police department in a municipality, state, or federal enforcement department within the US, and have resigned or retired in good standing; or a minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any US Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard) Component.
  • Firearms training and firearms qualifications, and company certifications meet state/federal certifications.
  • Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English.
  • Familiarity with securing facilities and/or vehicles at a fixed location.
  • Physically capable of standing a 12-hour post.
  • High School education or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Heavy work: Exerting up to 200 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have visual and audio acuity to heavy equipment, machines such as fire equipment and apparatuses, firearms and clearing barrels. May be required to be fitted for and/or wear a respirator. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, often without breaks, and may be required to climb stairs or ladders and walk-up inclines and on uneven terrain. Must meet all physical and psychological standards as required by the contract. Must be physically capable of standing a 12-hour post. Travel may be required.
