POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Armament Technician will assist with managing activities and personnel engaged in maintenance and repair of field artillery (M109’s, M1A2’s, breech maintenance, borescopes, Recoil exercise, 120mm mortars, M242 chain gun M2A3, and armament systems for the Army Prepositioned Stocks – 2 (APS-2) contract.

Responsible for the direct and general support maintenance; include the CROWS, Remote Weapons Station (RWS), M777A2 Howitzer, and 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm Mortars

Responsible for the Cleaning, Inspecting, Servicing, Repairing, Disposition, Evacuation and Movement of all Weapons in support of APS-2

Determine serviceability of weapons, sub-assemblies and parts

Diagnose and determine remedies for failures commonly encountered in the repair of systems using a variety of diagnostic techniques and TMDE with little or no supervision

Mount and dismount turret and vehicle mounted weapons as required

Safely uses common hand tools and shop equipment effectively without assistance

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ experience in military small arms and heavy ordnance repair required
- 1 year of leadership experience required

- Formal training (Completion of US Army MOS 45K/USMC 2111 or NATO military organization equivalent course or civilian equivalent

Will also be working on the Light tracks M113 Family of vehicles.

- Dissemble components, inspects part for wear

- Replace, realign, and adjust brakes and suspension components
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions to all systems
- Overhaul gasoline and diesel engines

- Perform routine vehicle equipment preventative maintenance inspections; checking and replacing fluids, checks lights and other electrical system components, and replaces exhaust system components

The Engineer Equipment Mechanic will perform the full range of engineer equipment maintenance repairs. Diagnose system malfunctions, isolate causes, and correct deficiencies for the following types of military engineer equipment: bulldozers, graders, forklifts, cranes, and Rough Terrain Container Handlers (RTCH). Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on various pieces of engineer equipment including but not limited to military and civilian engineer equipment.
