Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana are increasingly under the threat of violent extremist organizations (VEOs) spreading from the Sahel. The Project Manager (PM) will work to mitigate the hazards posed to service members countering this spread through the provision of training, mentorship, and lifesaving equipment for front-line medical personnel. The United States aims to improve the capacities of the Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire militaries to treat and evacuate wounded service members and non-combatants under their protection to hospitals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two (2) years of experience serving as the senior-most in-country management official at the project level
  • Two (2) years of experience managing projects valued at $3 million per period of performance or more

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work is typically based in OCONUS austere environment, work environment includes working outside in heat that can exceed 100 degrees during the summer.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Must pass a standard physical examination that includes, medical history, height, weight, blood pressure. Must pass pre-employment drug testing and remain drug free for the duration of the contract. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. of equipment or stock inventory.

Casualty Care Mentor

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Mentors will ensure the quality of Ghanaian-led Medical Personnel (MP) and Combat Lifesaver (CLS) course instruction. The mentors will deliver 10 sessions of TCCC-CLS and TCCC-MP training curriculum consisting of one hundred fifty (150) CLS soldiers and fifty (50) MP soldiers per session.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four (4) years of prior experience in the United States or Canadian militaries
  • Two (2) years of experience in a clinic setting (urgent care, emergency room, etc.)
  • Two (2) year of general experience as a paramedic or nurse
  • One (1) year delivering Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training to foreign militaries
  • Experience/knowledge in current TCCC guidelines
  • Possess current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification as an AEMT
  • Possess current approved CPR professional rescuer, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and advanced trauma training credentials (i.e., Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent)
  • Fluent command of the English language and DLPT 3/3 in French language
