POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Security Training Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the project training including compliance, quality assurance, implementation of best practice and the production all training, assessment and validation policies. The Project TM reports directly to the Project Security manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proven track record of Leadership and personnel management
- A good working understanding of the Systems Approach to Training (SAT)
- Ability to draft detailed and accurate reports, both verbal and written
- Ability to articulate facts in a timely and accurate manner both orally and in writing
- Proven command, control and operational experience in a challenging or high risk environment
- Demonstrable balance with a calm demeanour in response to accident and hostile incident
- Ability to liaise and interact with Host Nation Security and Law Enforcement agencies
- Demonstrable initiative and maintenance of accuracy in high pressure situations
- Ability to identify and react rapidly to significant security issues encountered
- Understanding of the cultural and diversity issues within a team and promotion of harmony
- Competency in Information Technology and ability to operate MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Formal training in the communication systems in operation within the project
- Possessing an experienced based knowledge of training procedures in order to maintain the operational effectiveness and compliance of his team
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years’ service in a regular Military or law enforcement
- Minimum 3 year in the private security sector (Desirable), or other commercial sector (such as health & safety, or oil & gas) with similar characteristics and challenges;
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal record checks within the recent 12 months
- Previous operational experience relevant to the region
- Previous operational experience in a high threat environment
- SIA Close Protection Course Level 3 or country equivalent
- Formal teaching qualification PTLLS or equivalent
- Formal assessing qualification D32-33 or similar
- Previous operational experience in the client’s sector (e.g. Oil & Gas) is preferred
- Previous Range Qualifications
- Trauma Medic Qualification

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in an austere environment in Basra Iraq and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are seven days a week, approximately 12 hours a day, however some extended and/or weekend hours may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday
