Unarmed Security Officer – El Segundo,CA

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Security Officers provide all routine patrol and access control functions including property control.

 

Secret/TS – $24.00 an hour

TS/SCI- $34.00 an hour 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report to the Lieutenant or Sergeant
  • Patrol Buyer’s facilities and report all security or safety deficiencies
  • Conduct timed patrol tours and special signoffs as directed.
  • Respond to the scene of crimes and emergencies to assist, observe, report, and contain
  • Enforce Buyer’s access and property control policies at all gates and lobbies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be U.S. citizen

Security Control Center Operator – El Segundo

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Support Aerospace Security Control Center Operations which act as the communication and response coordination control hub.

 

Pay Rate starting $34.00/hourly 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares a variety of vital reports that ensure the safety and security of all on- site personnel
  • Performs daily equipment checks of all security equipment in the Security Control Center
  • Monitor computerized intrusion detection and access control system, multiple CCTV cameras,  emergency  phone  line(s),  fire  alarm  panel,  and  facility environmental control system
  • Operate computerized patrol tour and key control systems, radios, automated public address system, and other SCC security-related equipment
  • Provides command,  control,  and  communication  support  for  both  routine security  events  and   
  • Serves an  informational  interface  with  the public, employees, management, government, and security forces under both normal  and  emergency   
  • In charge  of  administering  messages  to employees using the emergency mass notification system
  • Monitors and  provides  oversight  of  all  executive  transports  to  and  from  the Aerospace campus

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be U.S. citizen

Automotive Technician II

POSITION SUMMARY

The Automotive Technician II repairs, overhauls and maintains fleet vehicles and equipment.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform skilled repair and maintenance on a variety of gasoline-powered equipment and vehicles such as replacing bearings, axle seals, brake master cylinders, resurfacing brake drums and rotors
  • Disassemble components, inspect part for wear
  • Repair, overhaul, replace and rebuild water and fuel pumps, air conditioning components, compressors, radiators, etc.
  • Rewire electrical systems
  • Replace, realign and adjust brakes and suspension components
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions to all systems
  • Overhaul gasoline and diesel engines
  • Tune and perform repairs to diesel engines
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic systems; routes and replaces lies, and checks system for leaks
  • Perform routine vehicle equipment preventative maintenance inspections; checking and replacing fluids, checks lights and other electrical system components, and replaces exhaust system components
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Vocational/Technical training in automotive repair with 3 years of automotive repair experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • May require possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (A, B or C with specific endorsements may be required)
  • May require possession of one or more ASE Certifications
  • ASE Master Automotive Technician and/or Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician preferred

Background Investigator – Los Angeles Metropolitan Area

POSITION: Background Investigator

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct federal background investigations and prepare reports of investigations in compliance with ICD 704 standards, all laws, and other required federal agency regulations. Work cases throughout the geographic area of responsibility and travel to various places of employment, residence and education institutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizenship;
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of One (1) year within the last ten (10) years of investigations experience at the federal, state, or local level of government;
  • Experience conducting one-on-one subject interviews is required;

K9 Junior Handler

POSITION SUMMARY 

 

The Jr. Handler is responsible with screening cargo in compliance with TSA rules and regulations. The Jr. Handler is required to complete a 4–8 weeks minimum team training course and certification prior to mobilization to the assigned location. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Participate in CCSP related training to search cargo and identify explosive threats 
  • Conduct authorized representative duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and explosive trace detection as needed 
  • Perform Handler duties while commanding a trained explosive working dog 
  • Responsible for maintaining training records 
  • Responsible for maintaining training records, care, and maintenance of assigned certified canine. The assigned canine must be permitted to live inside the employee’s residence.  The employee’s residence must be adequate, indoor, and climate-controlled for the canine.  The canine living area at the employee’s residence is subject to reoccurring inspections. 
  • Must maintain all job-related certifications and required security clearances 
  • Must be willing to operate company vehicle (during on-site training)

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • U.S. Citizenship is required 
  • Must be able to obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN) within four to six weeks of employment 
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge within four to six weeks of employment 
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Threat Assessment (STA) for Airport Badge within four to six weeks of employment 
  • Must have adequate transportation to transport assigned Canine and Crate (inside the vehicle) to/from assigned work location; transportation must have operational climate control 
  • Must be able to pass the applicable Contract Testing and Certifications for the program within four to six weeks of employment; candidate must maintain the certification requirements 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record for the last three years

WORKING CONDITIONS 

 

Work conditions can vary from a busy training environment to field work, both subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Work hours will be dictated by the customers agreed upon schedule. Nights, weekends, and holiday hours will be required, and the work schedule will vary. Travel may also be required.

Court Security Officer

A Court Security Officer (CSO) is a specialized security position providing protective services at or around United State Federal Court Houses or other areas as assigned under a contract to the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS). CSO’s in this classification generally provide security services under some limited supervision from a Lead CSO and the District Supervisor who reports to the Contract Manager (CM).

The CSO position is able to perform a variety of fixed-post, mobile, or foot patrols while maintaining situational awareness and making decisions and/or taking actions consistent with established post orders, facility rules, guidelines and protocols. Duties may include work in austere and uncomfortable conditions for prolonged periods of time, including periods of inclement weather, while performing walking, standing, searching, and surveillance or sitting duties essential to the performance of the security functions.

 

Hourly Rate: $40.42 to $52.25

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shall enforce the District’s entry and identification system.
  • Test and Report Emergency Equipment
  • Patrol court facilities and grounds of the facility in accordance with applicable post orders.
  • Shall man USMS authorized stationary posts.
  • Shall provide focused surveillance on incoming traffic to entrances from inside or outside the facility in order to detect oncoming threats before reaching the screening area.
  • May provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals.
  • Provide security services for off-site and remote judicial functions where access to the site can be controlled and public screening conducted.
  • Where applicable, shall direct traffic, control lights on court facility properties, and monitor vehicles and pedestrians as described in the post orders.
  • May occasionally be assigned to provide courtroom security during hearings.
  • Shall provide security presence in the courtroom, enforce federal law and judicial orders within the courthouse,
  • Shall turn over any articles found in a court facility or designated facility to the COR and complete a CSO-003 within 24 hours after the incident occurs.
  • Keep supervisors and managers informed of unusual occurrences and important events as detailed in post orders, rules, regulations, guidelines and protocols.
  • Monitor alarms, radio traffic and other information sources. Dispatch or inform others as needed and authorized.
  • Report and appropriately address fire alarms, burglary alarms, requests for assistance and criminal acts;
  • Stop, screen, inquire, and inspect vehicles and pedestrians entering and / or exiting the facility as directed by post orders, rules, regulations, guidelines and protocols.
  • Properly use equipment issued or available for use.
  • Prevent passage of prohibited articles onto or off client facility.
  • Escort individuals or vehicles in accordance with post orders, rules, regulations, guidelines and protocols.
  • Maintain all necessary licensing, certifications, training and records for legal employment for the Security Guard position;
  • Use portable radios, phones or other communication devises appropriately and according to established rules.
  • Monitor all equipment; guard against loss or damage; report any such loss or damage immediately to a supervisor or manager.
  • Perform necessary work regardless of weather conditions.
  • Log in Property Pass numbers for authorized property/equipment movements.
  • Ensure the security of government property, detaining personnel using the mantrap when needed, and reporting anyone involved with unauthorized property/equipment removal.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of buildings and facilities
  • Issue required badges or passes to authorized personnel.
  • Monitor electronic access control and report violations
  • Monitor radio-frequency identification (RFID) systems and respond to alarms indicating unauthorized removal of government property.
  • Grant access to areas during non-working hours to authorized personnel in accordance with the established procedure and access lists.
  • Monitor facility equipment and utility systems and report deficiencies to personnel responsible for repairs.
  • Perform random surveillance of buildings for the detection of unauthorized or inappropriate activity.
  • Perform random surveillance of fence line for breaches and the detection of unauthorized removal of government property, illegal or inappropriate activity.
  • Provide additional security support for scheduled events that may occur during or after duty hours or for unscheduled emergencies as requested by supervisor
  • Maintain activity logs and administrative documents as required by contract.
  • Contact, assist, and cooperate with local, state or federal law enforcement; locate, retain and protect necessary evidence; testify as necessary in judicial and administrative proceedings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable civilian law enforcement experience OR an equivalent position with the United States Armed Forces (military). The experience must include general arrest authority. All three (3) years shall have occurred within the last seven (7) years.
  • Must have successfully completed or graduated from a certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy or program that provided instruction on the use of police powers in an armed capacity while dealing with the public. The certificate shall be recognized by a Federal, state, county, local or military authority, and provide evidence that an individual is eligible for employment as a law enforcement officer.
  • Must submit to and successfully complete pre-placement screening and evaluation, which includes submission to a criminal background check, financial institutions/credit bureau check, and disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background screen, drug test and physical exam.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted (except eyeglass wear) state driver’s license.
  • Fluently read, speak, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English.
  • Must be able to meet medical/physical fitness requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Quality Control Inspector

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for managing quality against the three stages of production (before, in process and final repairs) of vehicles in accordance with factory and county specifications as well as ensuring vehicles are repaired per estimate and according to county standards.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Review approved estimates/supplements against repaired vehicle
  • Notify management of any additional repairs needed
  • Maintain and wear all safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirators, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer
  • Ensure full use of all required safety and health personal protective equipment across all locations for the contract
  • Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management
  • Cooperate and assist other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles
  • Understand, keep abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are operated in a safe manner at all locations for the contract
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Must have 1 year of work-related experience

Heavy Bus Technician (Night Shift)

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Heavy Bus Technician repairs, overhauls and maintains automotive equipment, heavy equipment and vehicles.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform skilled repair and maintenance on a variety of gasoline-powered and diesel equipment and vehicles, such as fire apparatus and vehicles, loaders, cranes, crawlers, dub grinders, bucket trucks, pavers, rollers, sweepers and others
  • Replace bearings, axles seats, brake master cylinders, resurface brake drums/rotors, etc.
  • Disassemble components, inspect part for wear
  • Repair, overhaul, replace and rebuild water and fuel pumps, air conditioning components, compressors, radiators, etc.
  • Rewire electrical systems
  • Replace, realigns and adjust brakes and suspension components
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions to all systems
  • Overhaul gasoline and diesel engines
  • Tune and perform repairs to diesel engines
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic systems; route and replace lies, and check system for leaks
  • Perform routine vehicle equipment preventative maintenance inspections; checking and replacing fluids, check lights and other electrical system components, and replace exhaust system components
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Vocational/Technical training in automotive and diesel repair with 3-5 years of automotive and heavy equipment repair experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • May require possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (A, B or C with specific endorsements may be required)
  • May require possession of ASE Master Automotive Technician and/or Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician Certifications
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
  • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process

Boat Tech (Marina Del Rey, CA)

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Boat Technician works independently at the Marina del Rey dock maintaining a fleet of patrol boats and supporting units. The scope of boat repairs includes engine replacements, troubleshooting, repairing components and replacement as needed, recommends upgrades, and conducts operational tests.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleaning, repairing and maintaining all parts of the boat or vessel
  • Reading through repair and installation orders to determine the material, time, and equipment required
  • Scraping away old paint, barnacles and debris from vessels
  • Removing and replacing rotted or rusted sections of the vessel
  • Constructing replacement parts using drawings, saws and various hand and power tools
  • Testing engines, propellers, steering and navigational equipment
  • Mixing and applying paint, wax and gel coats
  • Liaising and consulting with the supervisor and other relevant professionals and vendors
  • Submits daily report work-log and parts inventory report
  • Might be required to perform maintenance on other equipment such as trucks, trailers, quads and others
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Vocational/Technical training in marine repair with 3 years of work-related experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Practical experience with tools and equipment used in marine maintenance
  • Must have valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
