Position Overview

 

The Data Analyst performs technical efforts including creating and modifying alarm accounts, buildings and contact information with various systems. Their primary purpose is the information management of an alarm monitoring system and the current information system in order to assist with dispatching operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Validate/maintain information for all alarm systems and buildings
  • Update building profiles with special instructions regarding emergency and non-emergency events to assist dispatching operations
  • Validate/maintain information on all alarm accounts, to include physical demographics, local responders, government agency contacts, zones, and panel information
  • Perform quality assurance for all information systems
  • Maintain all tracking and logging tools providing statistical data
  • Log operation stats
  • Assist in providing training to personnel on the operations of each system

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Computer skills — Utilizes a personal computer with word processing, spreadsheet and related software with reasonable speed and accuracy
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and data entry
  • Strong command of the English language

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves extended periods of sitting while engaged with a computer terminal or phone.
  • Must have close visual and audio acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; determining the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work; or to make general observations of facilities or structures

Armed Protective Security Officer – FPS MI

POSITION OVERVIEW

Staff armed security posts and provide security for the personnel and property of, and visitors to, assigned US Government Property. May also work in a Control Center.

Compensation: $23.05-27.07 (Location dependent) + $4.63 H&W

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Protect personnel and property in a professional manner
  • Meet and deal tactfully and politely with general public and visitors
  • Effectively and efficiently screen and process visitors
  • Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations
  • Conduct internal and external roving foot patrols
  • Traffic control
  • Ability to maintain excellent detection rate on x ray machine
  • Detect and respond to alarms and emergencies
  • Secure entrances and exits during emergencies
  • Control keys and lock combinations
  • Communicate and remain accessible via two way radio or company issued cellular phone
  • Understand and comply with all requirements defined within company documents to include: Post and General Orders, plans, policies, procedures.
  • Observe and report all offenses/incidents
  • Complete all reports and paperwork as required
  • Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.
  • Must be able to wear protective body armor as a part of the duty uniform.
  • Maintain mandated training requirements in accordance with company guidance.
  • Maintain physical fitness, agility requirements, and weapons qualifications.
  • Ensure safety requirements compliance and safe work practices.
  • Support safety programs Participate in Quality and Process Improvement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular, in-person attendance is required.

Qualifications

  • A United Citizen with social security card.
  • Driver’s License
  • Must possess a MI CPL
  • Minimum of 3 years out of the last 5 years armed experience in security, law enforcement, military, National Guard
  • Posses at least one of the following education criteria:
    • Successful completion of a state certified law enforcement education and training or police officer’s standard training course.
    • Received a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited learning institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or as identified on a DD 214
    • A minimum of 60 credit hours, in a related field, from an accredited learninginstitution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
    • Successful completion of a federal/state certified law enforcement education and training or police officers standard training course that may result in a law enforcement appointment or commission
  • Must meet all medical and physical standards as outlined in the contract
  • Meet background screening and U.S. Government suitability requirements.
  • Position may require the ability to acquire, and maintain, a security clearance.
  • Successful completion of Protective Security Officer Training and certification.
  • Pass and maintain medical, and physical fitness standards
  • Duties require lifting more than 10 pounds, bending twisting, standing and some activities that involve standing for long periods of time. Requires conducting foot patrols and response to alarms in varied weather conditions. 90% of the work will require some sort of physical activity. Occasional travel is required and must be willing to work rotating shifts

  • Heavy work: Exerting up to 200 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must have visual and audio acuity to operate motor vehicles or machines firearms and clearing barrels.
  • May be subject to outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures and weather
  • Subject to high noise levels
  • Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, often without breaks, and may be required to climb stairs or ladders and walk up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Must meet all physical and psychological standards as required by the contract
  • Travel may be required

Alarm Monitor/Telecommunicator — BC-MI

Position Overview

Monitors FPS and contract guard radio traffic, receive emergency and non-emergency phone calls and monitor security alarm systems in Federal buildings for all US states and territories. Coordinates the approprieate response to include sending and receiving audible and distinguishing and understaning English language voice communications via radio and telephone systems.

Responsibilities 

  • Monitor FPS and radio traffic while coordinating the appropriate responses to emergency and non-emergency situations performing duties such as:
    •  Communicating audio messages via radio and telephone
    •  Coordinating law enforcement and public safety personnel activities
    •  Transferring public safety information
    •  Answering questions and updating client records
  • Think and act quickly, calmly, and accurately in emergency situations and under stressful circumstances.
  • Log all calls in database including required details of each call
  • Keep additional detailed logs to maintain accurate records of alarm use, ensure officer safety, and allow for precise and efficient communications among coworkers
  • Operate multi-channel radio and telephone dispatch equipment
  • Access Federal, State, and local databases and maintain compliance regulations and procedures
  • Assist with quality review of events created by fellow dispatchers
  • Monitor alarms received and keep records based on unique accounts
  • Proficiently perform administrative tasks on desktop computer and notify management of any technological issues
  • Monitor in-house closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras
  • Perform dispatching duties for other locations in the event of a failure
  • Assist in the training of dispatcher trainees
  • Routinely test alarms, communication systems, and other devices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work under stress and to respond to emergency communications.
  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Be able to handle filing and other administrative duties.
  • Knowledge of a 24-hour emergency communication center including familiarity with public safety functions and concerns and of the public safety communication’s environment, demands, requirements and related laws, regulations and systems.
