K9 Junior Handler

POSITION SUMMARY 

 

The Jr. Handler is responsible with screening cargo in compliance with TSA rules and regulations. The Jr. Handler is required to complete a 4–8 weeks minimum team training course and certification prior to mobilization to the assigned location. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Participate in CCSP related training to search cargo and identify explosive threats 
  • Conduct authorized representative duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and explosive trace detection as needed 
  • Perform Handler duties while commanding a trained explosive working dog 
  • Responsible for maintaining training records 
  • Responsible for maintaining training records, care, and maintenance of assigned certified canine. The assigned canine must be permitted to live inside the employee’s residence.  The employee’s residence must be adequate, indoor, and climate-controlled for the canine.  The canine living area at the employee’s residence is subject to reoccurring inspections. 
  • Must maintain all job-related certifications and required security clearances 
  • Must be willing to operate company vehicle (during on-site training) 
  • Other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • U.S. Citizenship is required 
  • Must be able to obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN) within four to six weeks of employment 
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge within four to six weeks of employment 
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Threat Assessment (STA) for Airport Badge within four to six weeks of employment 
  • Must have adequate transportation to transport assigned Canine and Crate (inside the vehicle) to/from assigned work location; transportation must have operational climate control 
  • Must be able to pass the applicable Contract Testing and Certifications for the program within four to six weeks of employment; candidate must maintain the certification requirements 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record for the last three years 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion 
  • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process 
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS 

 

Work conditions can vary from a busy training environment to field work, both subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Work hours will be dictated by the customers agreed upon schedule. Nights, weekends, and holiday hours will be required, and the work schedule will vary. Travel may also be required. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

 

Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 100 lbs. Requires standing for long periods of time in all weather conditions. Requires intermittent sitting, walking, running, climbing, squatting, stretching, bending, and kneeling. Requires constant use of hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Employee Relations support, thought partnership, and coaching for all employees and levels of management in the organization
  • Proactively assess team and manager development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Lead employee relations casework, identify potential solutions to address different case types and actions appropriately using guidelines
  • Provide rigorous data analysis and reporting solutions based on business needs, highlighting key trends in employee relations to actively drive proactive solutions to minimize reactive work
  • Help balance risk, considering employee, business, and company perspectives
  • Help design and facilitate Manager Training based on data analysis
  • Integrate and partner with CONUS HR, Operations and Legal departments to implement solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position is required to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance, for which US Citizenship is required.
  • Must have a valid US drivers license and satisfactory driver record, and ability to obtain a local license
  • Must have a valid US Passport
  • Travel to local job sites as directed
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources or applicable field preferred
  • Six years of HR Generalist or Business Partner experience with strong emphasis on multi-nationality workforce, geographically dispersed sites, and austere environments.
  • SPHR / PHR / GPHR Certification a plus
  • Experience working with multi-national or global organizations

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push, or move objects up to 25 lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools.

Firefighter/EMT

POSITION SUMMARY

The FF/EMT performs duties, in both emergency and non-emergency situations, related to fire protection, emergency medical services, rescue services, hazardous materials response, and emergency management delivery at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.

  • Full-time and Part-Time
  • Shift work (24-hours on duty, 48-hours off duty)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to any Fire, EMS, or Hazmat incident on the plant
  • Check and maintain all emergency vehicles and rescue tools
  • Test and inspect fire hose and hydrants
  • Conduct extinguisher checks
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the fire station and its grounds
  • Conduct standbys for tenants
  • Conduct building inspections
  • Inspect and maintain SCBAs
  • Respond to protective building alarms or other calls for assistance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the shift Lieutenant or Captain.
  • Available to respond back to off duty incidents if called upon

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a US citizen (or have proof of legal authorization to work in the United States)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have completed high school or have GED equivalent
  • IFSAC or ProBoard Firefighter I and II
  • IFSAC or ProBoard Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations
  • Missouri EMT-Basic (must be obtain prior to appointment)
  • NREMT- Basic
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 ( can be completed during orientation)

Firefighter/Paramedic

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Performs duties, in both emergency and non-emergency situations, related to fire protection, emergency medical services, rescue services, hazardous materials response, and emergency management delivery at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. As a firefighter/paramedic duties also include emergency medical treatment beyond basic life support that provides advanced life saving techniques to the critically ill or injured.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assigned to the Department’s Operations Division; Firefighters are assigned to an Engine Company or a Rescue Squad vehicle.
  • Responds to but not limited to the following: fire incidents, emergency medical incidents, fire alarms, hazardous materials, rescue operations including various types of rescue incidents such as high angle, confined space, trench, vehicle extrication, and building collapse.
  • Follow Centerra Group and FEMS III SOPs/SOGs.
  • Inspect vehicles, equipment, and consumables for which they are assigned each duty shift.
  • Meet all requirements for the position of Firefighter as well as Paramedic, participate in all assigned training and associated duties as a member of the Department’s Operations Division including any/all fire ground assignments.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • IFSAC Firefighter I and II

  • Missouri Paramedic License
  • NREMT-P
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Valid state driver’s license with good driving record

Armed Security Officer

POSITION SUMMARY

Staff armed security posts and provide security for the personnel and property of, and visitors to, assigned US Government Property at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
  • Preserve order and act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Respond to routine and emergency situations.
  • Standing a post for 8 to 16 hours while wearing duty equipment and personal protective equipment weighing up to 30 pounds (includes a required ballistic vest) while exposed to all weather conditions.
  • Properly and effectively wear or use personal protective equipment, including that used to prevent exposure to chemical, biological, or radiological agents.
  • Acuity of senses and ability of expression sufficient to allow essential, accurate communication by written, spoken, audible, visible, or other signals.
  • Operate both as a member of a team and independently at incidents of uncertain duration.
  • Maintain mental alertness, deductive, and inductive reasoning, memory, and reliable judgment, to include operating a motor vehicle — even under emergency conditions.
  • Respond appropriately to routine and emergency situations of the job including bending, reaching, dodging, crawling, climbing, rapid ascent of stairs, short to moderate sprints, and self-defense if necessary while wearing protective equipment.
  • Ability to endure emergency situations mentally and physically for extended periods of time

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • US Citizen
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Applicants are subject to a pre-employment and background investigation, including prior employment, personal references, criminal and credit screening, motor vehicle report, etc.
