Lead Training Coordinator

Salary: $72,000 – $76,000

 

Position Overview

 

The Lead Training Coordinator is the primary consultant in the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process for Centerra Los Alamos (CLA) that analyzes the requirements for the operational training of the Protective Force.  This position is responsible for the Job Task Analysis (JTA) and Curriculum Development, Protective Force Enterprise Mission Essential Task List (EMETL), records management and scheduling as well as, the responsibilities for mentoring, coaching, and advising our Training Coordinators. The incumbent frequently addresses team performance, quality improvement, and customer satisfaction. This position serves as the primary facilitator for team strategic planning sessions and analysis focus groups.  The Lead manages and is responsible for all aspects of the section including supervision and direction of the Training Coordinators.

Qualifications

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Five years’ experience with demonstrated experience in Training Records & Curriculum Development or related experience in:
    • report preparation;
    • systems analysis;
    • formal briefing presentations; and
    • multitask management.
  • Currently have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-clearance.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Knowledge and ability to create, modify, and schedule employee training plans, schedule and prepare classroom settings and the ability to compile, reproduce large volume training materials.
  • Must possess excellent administrative, organizational, and computer skills with an intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint), Adobe Suite, database, and other presentation software.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to convey information professionally and tactfully.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid NM driver’s license.
  • Ability to successfully complete Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and CLA required training courses.

 

Desired Education and Experience (Considered a Plus):

  • Associates degree in a related field or equivalent combination of academic training and work-related experience.
  • One (1) year experience in Job Task Analysis and Training Program Curriculum Development.
  • One (1) year experience in Enterprise Mission Essential Task List (EMETL) administration.
  • Supervising experience.
  • Demonstrated execution of work products in accordance with Integrated Safety Management (ISM) and Integrated Safeguards and Security Management (ISSM) functions and principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in Curriculum Development in either DOE/NNSA/Department of Defense (DoD) EMETL environments.
  • Working knowledge of Centerra-Los Alamos business systems (SharePoint, Sage, ISE, etc.), LANL business systems (Outlook, UTRAIN), and National Training Center (NTC) business system (Registration, Learning Nucleus).

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves extended periods of sitting while engaged with a computer terminal or phone.
  • Must have close visual and audio acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; determining the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work; or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
  • Must meet all physical and psychological standards as required by the contract
  • Travel may be required
