POSITION SUMMARY
The FF/EMT performs duties, in both emergency and non-emergency situations, related to fire protection, emergency medical services, rescue services, hazardous materials response, and emergency management delivery at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant.
Seeking full-time and part-time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to any Fire, EMS, or Hazmat incident on the plant
- Check and maintain all emergency vehicles and rescue tools
- Test and inspect fire hose and hydrants
- Conduct extinguisher checks
- Maintain the cleanliness of the fire station and its grounds
- Conduct standbys for tenants
- Conduct building inspections
- Inspect and maintain SCBAs
- Respond to protective building alarms or other calls for assistance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the shift Lieutenant or Captain.
- Available to respond back to off duty incidents if called upon
QUALIFICATIONS
- US Citizen
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply
- No criminal record.
- GED or High School Diploma
- Valid drivers’ license
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Must be certified as an NFPA 1001, Firefighter II (VDFP, Pro Board or IFSAC)
- Must be certified at NFPA 472-13, Haz-Mat — Operations Level (VDFP, Pro Board or IFSAC)
- Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (National Registry or Commonwealth of Va.) or currently enrolled in an EMT Class (preference will be given to applicants with current EMT certification). Any applicant currently enrolled in class, will be required to complete the class on their own time

POSITION SUMMARY
Full Time Fire Prevention Inspector
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance check of assigned vehicle.
- Inspect facilities and associated fire protection systems for deficiencies and report deficiencies to the client.
- You will collect technical information on the building/facility.
- You will research technical manuals, fire codes, or trade reference books to gain additional information and ascertain the fire characteristics.
- You will exercise authority to shut down any operation where violations represent a clearly demonstrable threat to public safety.
- You will conduct fire and life safety training and secure involvement in fire prevention, detection, and suppression.
- You will provide fire warden training to installation personnel to ensure compliance with day to day fire prevention regulations within designated building and facilities.
- You will document inspection findings and deficiencies in the data management system.
- Track, inspect, and replace extinguishers as needed.
- Other tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in a busy office and field environment. Business work hours are 40 hours a week. Ability to work during inclement weather. Travel may be required. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supervision and scheduling of on-site staff and the overall protection and safeguarding of property, persons and other assets.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Monitoring security patrols and ID Checks
- Supervising and monitoring activity on property to deter and prevent theft, sabotage, fire and accidents
- Responding to calls for assistance
- Writing reports on accidents, various incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations
- Providing needed assistance to customers, residents, employees and visitors in accordance to company procedures
- Serving as training officer to new security staff
- Train, coach, mentor and ensure implementation and adherence to current Standard Operating procedures and Post Orders, per company policy and best practices
- Monitor and resolve all log entries timely and efficiently, report to Regional Program Coordinator as needed,
- Act as liaison between Security Officers and Client, and Corporate Office Departments
- Monitor, address, resolve and supervise payroll reporting, payroll discrepancies, timekeeping, post coverage, attrition, scheduling, requests for time off, and communicate with all appropriate departments by following proper channels and submitting forms for approval and processing
- Conduct new hire orientation, follow new hire training program and checklist, train and re-train staff, assess, evaluate and record counseling, coaching, mentoring and performance evaluations accordingly
- Communicate and facilitate open lines of communication with Regional Program Coordinator, Human Resources, Payroll, USCG Representatives and Corporate Office Departments
- Promote good client relations internally, externally and in daily interactions with outside vendors, contractors, service providers and representatives

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent, Military, Security or Law Enforcement training and/or experience, must be a US citizen. Must have an active security officer license or be able to obtain one in short fashion.
- Must be proficient in a variety of firearms platforms (.40 caliber pistol and shotgun)
- Must have a good working knowledge of security operations and safety practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff, company and the public, to understand and follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s), to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance, to write necessary incident reports, make various log entries, investigate incidents, make independent good judgment decisions within proper policy or procedure.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience and working knowledge of Post Orders, security operations standards and procedures and good understanding of schedules and schedule matrix, shift and payroll operations, 24/7 operations, as well as exceptional people skills, communications skills, diplomacy and tact.
