ACADEMI Instructor Featured in CAREERS & the disABLED Magazine
July 22, 2017

ACADEMI Training Instructor, Jeff Uhrin, was recently featured in the July/August issue of the CAREERS & the disABLED magazine, the nation’s first and only career-guidance and recruitment magazine for people with disabilities.

Jeff, a four-year infantry Marine Corps veteran, attached to the Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable (MEUSOC), was injured while deployed on a security contract overseas. Speaking about life after the injury, “[I] experienced the same commitment [that Constellis] extends to its wounded warriors. I was brought back to work on a part-time basis while I was convalescing and going through physical therapy. When I was ready to redeploy and head back down range, I was given the go-ahead.”

Once a civilian and missing the comradery that military culture provided, Jeff joined ACADEMI as an instructor and currently provides training in firearms, small unit tactics and unarmed defense to U.S., Latin and African personnel for deployment to combat zones.

Flip to pages 18-20 to read more about Jeff’s role at ACADEMI and what he does now to assist wounded warriors.
