CENTERRA FIRE SERVICE TEAM RECEIVES BOSS PATRIOT AWARD
July 23, 2019

Commended by Department of Defense for supporting active duty reservists.

RESTON, Va. (July 9, 2019)— Centerra, a Constellis company, announced today that two of its company Fire Service officers received the Boss Patriot Award, presented by the Louisiana Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an office of the Department of Defense.

Chief Joe Hamner and Captain John Evans of the England Airpark Fire Department were recognized for their outstanding support of the country’s active duty reservists. They were nominated for the award by Centerra England Airpark fireman SPC Stephen Jensen who recently returned from a year-long tour of duty with the U.S. Army Reserve 395 Ordnance Company based out of Appleton, WI. SPC Jensen was deployed in support of USAF/airfield operations as a firefighter and served in Kuwait and Afghanistan. Firefighter Jensen has been with Centerra at England Airpark for two years.

The ESGR highlights that supportive employers are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of our National Guard and Reserve units. As the 1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions, the ESGR strives to be the resource for the employers of citizen warriors. Centerra is proud that our employees received this significant honor and recognition from the ESGR.

“Centerra remains committed in supporting our team members through their deployments in service of our country and welcome them back upon their return,” says Kristian Kluzinski, Director of Centerra’s Special Operations Division.
