There was a slight reduction in violent incidents in Baghdad, attributed to ISF operations aimed at securing the Imam al-Kadhim commemorations. Overall, violent incidents in central Baghdad remained largely criminal in natural.

Some gains have been made in the central and western districts of Mosul but frontlines have remained largely static.

 Tribal and insurgent violence has continued to increase around the Diyala river valley in the North Central Region.

 In Anbar, a slight increase in hostile incidents but still largely focused in areas previously held by insurgents.

 Activity in the south remains consistent with previous reporting periods. The majority of incidents are linked to criminality or tribal disputes. Reporting in Basra province was dominated this week by tribal SAF exchanges.
