POSITION SUMMARY

Serves as a First line supervisor monitoring and directing staff as necessary and perform administrative tasks including timekeeping, and report tracking. In case of after-hours emergency situations, the Supervisor on duty responds and take initial command until higher authority arrives. RESPONSIBILITIES

Take immediate action to correct deficiencies and solve problems,

QUALIFICATIONS

1 year of full-time experience as a Security officer within the United States or; 1 year of full-time law enforcement experience while employed by a United States federal, state, city or municipality law enforcement entity, or the United States Military, or; 3 years of non-administrative United States military active duty.
Must be a US citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence and have resided in the U.S. for the last five years
Must be at least 21 years of age.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Keep the Contract Manager’s Office informed of all potential problems and threatening situations, and provide alternatives for solutions, when possible.
Collaborates with the scheduler to ensure that all posts are covered, while minimizing overtime.
Provides direct management of approximately 100 officers. Supports and encourages supervisors and officer’s career goals. Provides direction and mentorship for supervisors and officers to obtain goals.
Understands and upholds the Rules of Personal Conduct and contractual agreements. Ensures that officers follow order of contractual agreements.

Carry and operate weapons as specified in daily post and detail orders, or upon orders from your chain of command
Participate in advance security preparations.
Man the security post at the principal’s residence, the command post, or other static post as required.
Serve as a member of a QRF as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a U.S. citizen
Must currently possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and a valid U.S. tourist passport to be considered
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of documented protective security experience. A Service-2 or Member-4 copy of the DD-214 must be provided for applicants using U.S military service as applicable experience.

Protective security experience is defined as a personal bodyguard, a designated security member of convoy or movement operations, or security services experience while actively carrying a firearm. Experience may only be gained by employment under a national/federal government, state government, city/municipal government, provincial or township government, or a government-licensed commercial entity that provides armed protective services. Experience as sworn law enforcement in the United States is always applicable.

Obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance as identified in the contract (DOS Secret level). Clearance can be obtained during the application process.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must attend and successfully complete required training
Qualify with the Glock-19, M4, M240, M249, and requalifying as required by the task order (TO)
Complete the Physical Readiness Test (PRT) at the 65% performance level and maintain that fitness level for the duration of the contract
Must possess no impediments to travel overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order

POSITION SUMMARY

Staff armed security posts and provide security for the personnel, visitors, and property of various buildings within the Salinas area. May also work in a Control Center.

PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION

Rate of Pay: $31.66/hr

Health and Welfare: $5.50/hr

Paid training for 2.5 weeks at full hourly rate

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide security for various buildings by conducting perimeter security, internal security, monitoring screens, etc.
Protect personnel and property in a professional manner
Meet and deal tactfully and politely with general public and visitors
Effectively and efficiently screen and process visitors
Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations
Conduct internal and external roving foot patrols
Traffic control as necessary
Ability to maintain excellent detection rate on x ray machine
Detect and respond to alarms and emergencies
Secure entrances and exits during emergencies
Control keys and lock combinations
Communicate and remain accessible via two-way radio or company issued cellular phone
Understand and comply with all requirements, plans, policies, procedures.
Observe and report all offenses/incidents
Complete all reports and paperwork as required
Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.
Must be able to wear protective body armor as a part of the duty uniform.
Maintain mandated training requirements in accordance with company guidance.
Maintain physical fitness, agility requirements, and weapons qualifications.
Ensure safety requirements compliance and safe work practices.
Support safety programs Participate in Quality and Process Improvement programs.
Ability to acquire, and maintain, a security clearance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Regular, in-person attendance is required.

Qualifications

Possess at least one of the following experience criteria:

(1) Minimum of two years armed experience within the past five years
(2) Two years of military or National Guard with honorable discharge
(3) Successful completion of a state certified law enforcement education and training or police officer’s standard training course

Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent from a U.S. Accredited School. Foreign education must be evaluated to meet U.S. education requirements.
Must be a US Citizen with social security card
Current CA Driver’s License
BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit with .40 Caliber or must be able to provide proof of active firearm permit and qualification to add .40 caliber to permit prior to an interview.

BSIS Baton Permit
Red Cross or American Heart Association Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/1^st Aid Certification. Certification cannot be online only. Must be Red Cross or American Heart Association. Other training center certifications will not be accepted.
OC Spray or Pepper Spray Certification or Permit
Must meet all medical, physical, drug test standards
Must be able to pass psychological assessment
Meet background screening requirements.
Successful completion of Training and certification.

Working Conditions

Some travel required. Mileage reimbursed for travel to areas outside of the scope of normal commute standards.

Physical Requirements
