DCJS Entry Level Handgun (07E)

The DCJS Entry Level Handgun 07E course is the prerequisite course required to obtain your firearms endorsement for the Personal Protection Specialist (32E). This course provides a solid foundation of pistol-shooting skills and is designed for shooters with little to no previous experience with the handgun. It covers gun safety, marksmanship fundamentals and core pistol manipulation.

  • Minimum three high-capacity (15+ round) magazines or six low-capacity (7-8 rd) magazines

  • Ear protection
  • Firearm cleaning kit
  • Rain gear
  • Clothing appropriate for climate and conditions
  • Water bottle or other hydration system
  • Knee and elbow pads strongly recommended

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must provide a no-felony Criminal Background Check

DCJS Advanced Handgun (09E)

DCJS Advanced Handgun (09E) is required for the entry-level personal protection specialist who wishes to have firearms endorsement and optional for other armed registrants.
