POSITION SUMMARY

Provide professional, high-level unarmed security services for the personnel, visitors, and property of various buildings within the Boston, MA area. May also work in a Control Center.

 

PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION

Rate of Pay: $28/hr

Paid training for 1.5 weeks at full hourly rate

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide security for various buildings by conducting perimeter security, internal security, threat monitoring , etc.
  • Protect personnel and property in a professional manner
  • Meet and deal tactfully and politely with general public and visitors
  • Effectively and efficiently screen and process visitors as required
  • Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations
  • Conduct internal and external roving vehicle, bicycle, and/or foot patrols
  • Traffic control as necessary
  • Detect and respond to alarms and emergencies
  • Secure entrances and exits during emergencies
  • Control keys and lock combinations
  • Communicate and remain accessible via two-way radio or company issued cellular phone
  • Understand and comply with all requirements, plans, policies, procedures.
  • Observe and report all offenses/incidents including suspicious activity
  • Complete all reports and paperwork as required
  • Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.
  • Maintain mandated training requirements in accordance with state and company guidance.
  • Ensure safety requirements compliance and safe work practices.
  • Support safety programs participate in Quality and Process Improvement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular, in-person attendance is required.

Qualifications

Must meet one (1) of the below experience requirements.

  • Prior Law Enforcement Officer graduated from official Law Enforcement Academy OR
  • Prior military with honorable discharge at a rank of E4 or above OR
  • Four (4) years of licensed armed security officer experience (Less Than Lethal acceptable), with demonstrated advanced training in security skill sets and proficiencies and a security vendor service record free of adverse actions OR
  • Five (5) years unarmed experience, and (2) years armed experience, and/or (2) years honorable military service with honorable discharge
  • Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent from a U.S. Accredited School. Foreign education must be evaluated to meet U.S. education requirements.
  • Must be a US Citizen with social security card
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Current CPR/AED/1st Aid Certification
  • Must meet all medical, physical, drug test standards
  • Must be able to pass psychological assessment
  • Meet background screening requirements.
  • Successful completion of Training and certification.

Working Conditions

Work is typically based in and around a a busy multi-building environment subject to frequent interruptions.

 

Physical Requirements

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires intermittent running, continuous and prolonged standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending without the aid of any walking assistance device. Must be physically capable of riding a bicycle and/or operating a motor vehicle throughout the course of a workday.

Security Scheduler

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Security Scheduler  position is primarily administrative in nature and is accountable for the assignment of officers to appropriate posts and shifts. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Prepare reports as needed by managers and supervisors.
  • Scheduling with a focus on all posts being filled while meeting overtime reduction goals.
  • Oversee the scheduling system to ensure all posts schedules are built out.
  • Quickly resolve payroll discrepancies and effectively communicate resolution with staff and management.
  • Resolve any billing disputes quickly with contract management and billing department.
  • Monitor staff PTO bank balances and advise staff and project management of any shortages of availability for time off requests.
  • Provide accurate billing reports within one week after close of each month.
  • Accurately balance payroll records to schedule weekly for timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Communicate attendance/punctuality violations to project management for disciplinary documentation in a timely manner to maintain effective attendance discipline.
  • Administers the assignment of restricted duty personnel, and provide written notification of personnel on leave.
  • Knowledge of all staff (i.e.: who they are, their availability, and their abilities).
  • Utilize phone, emails, and messaging software to communicate schedules to officers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFATIONS 

  • Must have one (1) year experience administrative scheduling or similar field with emphasis in database management.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience with a major scheduling program/software. Experience with Infor scheduling is preferred.  
  • Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Highly proficient with a computer to include Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to pass a contract required medical and drug screen and background check.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of security operations and safety practices in a business environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the public; to prepare, understand, and follow standard operating procedures; to perform duties in a professional manner; to write and investigate required reports; to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures and to maintain all contract required credentials.

Assistant Contract Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Assistant Program Manager (APM) serves as the primary advisor to the contract manager (CM) and internal operations manager for a security contract in the State of  Massachusetts.  Authority is delegated to the APM from the CM to execute and meet service performance measures and standards identified in the contract for Triple Canopy (A Constellis company) to meet the contract objectives. In addition to providing contract administration and ensuring compliance with all requirements of the Agreement, the Assistant Project Manager assists in overseeing and managing all security and security command center operations and performs all relevant duties as assigned by the Project Manager. The APM uses sound judgment to prioritize and complete assignments, some of which consist of numerous complex steps varying in nature and sequence. The Assistant Project Manager shall wear appropriate business casual attire, perform the following tasks, and have the following qualifications.

 

PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION:

  • $80,000/year

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report directly to their Project Manager
  • Ensure Constellis personnel perform all duties and requirements of the Agreement, ensuring quality of services and supplies, timeliness of all deliverables, controlling costs, compliance with all government reporting requirements, quality control and management of key Constellis personnel
  • Make decisions on behalf of Constellis , particularly with respect to personnel-related issues
  • Supervise all Constellis personnel providing the Services
  • Be available on a 24-hour basis to ensure prompt response in the event of an emergency or exigent circumstance
  • Conduct prompt and thorough internal investigations of reported complaints or concerns
  • Ensure all equipment and property is tracked, accounted for, and otherwise safeguarded
  • Share overall responsibility for implementing, monitoring, and upgrading the program quality control plan, including responsibility for ensuring that Constellis personnel complies with all program requirements under the Agreement
  • Serve as an additional focal point for Clients for all program activities and be responsible for overall quality and standards conformance in accordance with the SOW
  • Plan projects, meet objectives, develop contingencies, and manage resources within the project budget

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Must possess a minimum of 3 years managing security guard personnel on a contract of similar size and complexity AND either 4 years of law enforcement OR 4 years of honorable military experience
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or substantial and verifiable law enforcement, military or business management experience
  • Verifiable experience and training in security awareness, mediation and conflict resolution, disaster and emergency situations, and managing personnel at various types of facilities
  • Be fully computer literate with computer hardware and software used to perform the Services
  • Be a U.S. Citizen with a social security card and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet all medical and physical standards and satisfactorily complete background checks, psychological and drug screening
  • Possess outstanding written and oral communication skills in the English language

Armed Security Officer

POSITION SUMMARY

Staff armed security posts and provide security for the personnel and property of, and visitors to, assigned U.S. Government property. May also work in a Control Center on the USS Constitution in Boston, MA.

  • Must possess a MA Class A Large Capacity LTC prior to being hired on the contract
  • Active DoD SECRET (or higher) personnel security clearance preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance or higher. Priority consideration will be given to U.S. military veterans, current Reserve Component servicemembers, and those with a current active DoD Secret clearance
  • Minimum combined 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be a citizen of the United States. Dual citizenship is strictly prohibited.

  • Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English

Administrative Assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW 

 

Office administrative support shall be provided to the ARE contract covering a wide range of administrative and clerical functions and efforts. Office administrative services support should directly support the everyday activities of the operations and managers. 

 

 

 

RESPONSIIBILITES

  • Produce a typed transcript of the meeting minutes from the weekly manager’s meeting as needed.
  • Assist in updating the internal filing system
  • Schedule meetings; manage staff calendars and the conference call bridge calendar.
  • Prepare and track shipping for all incoming and outgoing packages.
  • Complete order request forms and track through the ordering, shipping, and receiving process.
  • Assist with the contract new hire process. Coordinate required tasks for preliminary background screening.
  • Prepare paperwork for new classes.
  • Produce, update, and distribute staff internal phone lists.
  • Assist in tracking all inventories utilized by operations.
  • Update and distribute staff directory to affiliate personnel.
  • Complete special projects assigned by the managers.
  • Submit service calls for any facility maintenance or service the needs to be done.
  • Input new contract employee personnel information into the information system and complete yearly audits/crosschecks.
  • Compile the monthly HQ Workload Metrics and distribute to the appropriate personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Advanced communication skills that encompass an array of mediums. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), and Data Entry
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 to 50 words per minute.
  • Must be organized and be highly detail oriented.

Experienced Background Investigator

Experienced Background Investigator – DCSA – Nationwide

POSITION: Experienced Background Investigator – DCSA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct federal background investigations and prepare reports of investigations in compliance with Federal Investigative Standards, all laws, and other required federal agency regulations. Work cases throughout the geographic area of responsibility and travel to various places of employment, residence, and education institutions.

$24.00 – $41.32/Hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizenship;
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 1 year within the last five (5) years of investigations experience on the OPM/NBIB/DCSA contract or similar contract utilizing Federal Investigative Standards (FIS);
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record;
  • Willing to travel on temporary duty assignments as needed (by car or plane);
  • Successfully pass background checks and all required training;
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists;
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram, or schedule form;

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Conduct in-person, one-on-one subject interviews to obtain factual information about the individuals’ background and character, in accordance with agency guidelines and instructions.
  • Obtain factual information from a variety of personal and record sources to produce a report of investigation that contains all pertinent facts of an individual’s background and character in accordance with agency guidelines and instructions.
  • Travel throughout the geographic area of responsibility to conduct investigations at various places of employment, residence, and education institutions as cases are assigned.
  • Must be willing to travel in and around assigned location within 30-50 miles (or more) as needed.
  • Engage in dialogue on a regular basis with managers and representatives at contractor facilities, various U. S. Government organizations, and law enforcement agencies to develop and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
  • Adapt to changing situations and environments as they occur and be able to interact with people from all walks of life and socioeconomic levels.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills and exhibit professional demeanor in all situations.
  • Work load based on availability of cases in geographic area.
  • Some voluntary, temporary duty assignments in other areas of the country (typically 2-4 weeks at a time) are possible.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • Current Top Secret clearance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:  

Work is typically based in the investigator’s home office as well as in the investigator’s personal vehicle traveling to various field locations to conduct interviews. Coverage area varies and could include some extended drives. Work hours vary depending on availability of leads and do not always fall within normal business hours, to include potential weekend hours or third-shift appointments.

Shift Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY 

Serves as a First line supervisor monitoring and directing staff as necessary and perform administrative tasks including timekeeping, and report tracking. Provides close first line supervision of personnel/security officers assigned to their respective shifts, functions, and facilities. In case of after-hours emergency situations, the Supervisor on duty responds and take initial command until higher authority arrives.  They are empowered with the authority necessary to handle emergency events. 

 

 COMPENSATION/PAY TRANSPARENCY

$30.80/hr

Paid 1.5 week training

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Provide operation oversite at the service desks, mail room, street entries, and loading docks. 
  • Assist with scheduling including overtime approvals, callouts, and personal time off requests 
  • Take immediate action to correct deficiencies and solve problems, 
  • Identify and resolve day-to-day staffing shortages caused by call offs, 
  • Ensure breaks and relief are provided, 
  • Ensure Fire Life safety responsibilities are performed 
  • Provide verbal counseling and initiate written disciplinary actions as necessary, 
  • Provide direct oversight and close supervision of the security officers assigned to their respective areas, functions and facilities 
  • Setting an example for subordinates in the areas of appearance, work habits, skill and attitude. 
  • Ensure that regulations and post orders are followed. 
  • Perform appraisal and analysis of work accomplishments for subordinates. 
  • Review all reports for completeness and accuracy. 
  • Ensure officers follow all work rules, maintain and display good discipline, and present a professional appearance by conducting random, unannounced personnel and post inspections 
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 

 

QUALIFATIONS 

  •  Three (3) years of experience in law enforcement, military or security in the last five years 
  •  Prior experience on an FPS security contract
  •  Ability to pass a contract required medical and drug screen.
  •   Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States
  •  High school diploma or equivalent required.
  •  Highly proficient with a computer to include Microsoft Office software.
  •  Must have a good working knowledge of security operations and safety practices in a business environment.
  •  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the public; to prepare, understand, and follow standard operating procedures; to perform duties in a professional manner; to write and investigate required reports; to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures and to maintain all contract required credentials.  
  • Current CPR/AED/1st Aid Certification 
  • Successful completion of training and certification including a Guard License
  • Nice to have certifications in Non-Lethal devices including handcuffs, taser and pepper spray

WORKING CONDITIONS  

Work is typically in or around a busy office building environment and subject to frequent interruptions with long periods of sitting, standing or walking. Extended hours to include nights, weekends and holidays may be required. Often subject to outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures and weather. Subject to high noise levels include gun fire, hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat, extreme cold or exposure to chemicals. 

  

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS 

Heavy work: Exerting up to 200 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have visual and audio acuity to heavy equipment, machines such as fire equipment and apparatuses, firearms and clearing barrels. May be required to be fitted for and/or wear a respirator. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, often without breaks, and may be required to climb stairs or ladders and walk-up inclines and on uneven terrain. Must have ability to ride a bicycle. Must meet all physical and psychological standards as required by the contract. Must be physically capable of standing a 12-hour post. Travel may be required.
